Chelsea Fringe 2014

As part of the 2014 Chelsea Fringe, myself and Dr Tom Hulme from the History Department of King’s College London ran a series of events exploring the history of urban green spaces and gardens in relation to health. These events, which were funded through a King’s College London public engagement grant, included free walking tours of the parks and gardens of Lambeth and Southwark and a series of discussion events. I am more than happy to share my work with a range of audiences. Recent engagements include a talk at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Lindley Library, a lecture for the Royal Society of Medicine history series, the Garden History Society Winter Lecture, and talks for the Royal Horticultural Society’s Show at Tatton Park, Lydiard Park in Swindon, the county gardens trusts of Warwickshire, Avon and Hampshire, Jenner’s House in Gloucestershire, Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol, and Architects for Health.
